Sleep & Insomnia
Insomnia is difficulty getting to sleep or staying asleep long enough to feel refreshed the next day. Occasional episodes of poor sleep are common & not generally a cause for concern. Long term insomnia poses a more significant threat to well-being; and has associated problems such as daytime sleepiness, tiredness, irritability, low mood, learning & concentration problems & an increased risk of road accidents. Triggers for insomnia include worry, stress & depression, along with poor bedtime habits & lifestyle factors (e.g. drug & alcohol use). The products, below, have been selected to help with some of the causes of insomnia (e.g. tinnitus & stress) or to encourage sleep by promoting calm & relaxation.
